Design-wise I love discovering how an actor can interact with a practical lamp/light to give a character another level of agency of the space/ influence their connection to other characters or audience. Another tool of lighting I love to explore is movement. Whether that is jagged flashes of light seen in a transition or a 20 minute painterly sunset, the power of active transformation is so satisfying when it clicks with the tone of a piece .

In my free time I’m biking along the lake listening to Robyn or playing cribbage.

I graduated with a BA in Theatre Design and Technologies from Columbia College Chicago in the fall of 2021.
